Hua Thanon Beach

One of the quiet, best white sandy beach of Koh Samui. A Traditional fishing village with a very special charm. Here you will see locals working with their colourful boats which they use to catch fish. Hua Thanon Beach is guaranteed of complete peace and quiet!

Chaweng Beach

The best and most popular beach on Koh Samui. Whether you want to relax or party, Chaweng beach has it all. Jet skis, water parks, paragliding, snorkeling, banana boats and the powder white soft sand, clear warm waters makes this the great place for sunbathing.

Lamai Beach

Lamai Beach is just 5 minutes from Bandon Hostel. It is quieter and less bustling than Chaweng area, but still has plenty of eating and shopping with some great spas and tourist sites to explore.

Silver Beach

Silver Beach is located between Chaweng and Lamai beach and is a small soft white sand beach with crystal clear water. Less famous than many other beaches on the island, the spectacular Silver Beach is usually quiet and makes for an enjoyable relaxing afternoon. The beach has a few restaurants where you can enjoy your lunch or dinner with a relaxing beer or cocktail. There are a few sun loungers to hire on the beach so make sure to bring your own towel or beach mat.

Lad Koh Viewpoint

This stunning viewpoint is situated on the main ring road the south end of Chaweng Beach. The Samui viewpoint sits on limestone boulders overlooking the all of Chaweng.

Attractions Near Bandon Beach Hostel

Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks

These oddly shaped rocks sit on the South end of Lamai Beach about 5 minutes from Bandon Hostel. people are drawn to them for more than the fantastic sunsets. They are a world famous tourist attraction thanks to the tale of how they came about: allegedly, a man and woman died in a boating accident off Lamai Beach. Their bodies washed ashore and came to form the Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks.

Big Buddha

The 12 meter high Buddha sits on a small island that can be reached by road. In front of the temple are craft shops and food stalls catering to the visitor. Entering the temple, you first come to a large paved courtyard with a dragon stairway on the other side. On the stairs are two small pavilions with smaller Buddha images. Spectacular Views from the top so bring your camera.

Night Market

numerous night markets on Koh Samui, we have a walking street market within 2 minutes walking distance from the hostel near the Chinese Temple every Wednesday from 17:00 and we recommend Fisherman’s Village Night Market in Bophut which takes place on Fridays from 5 PM where the almost Mediterranean-feeling street is closed off for cars in order for stalls to set up. The market is buzzing with vendors and mobile cocktail stalls. Lamai walking street also takes place every Sunday from 5 pm.

Thai Boxing – Muay Thai

World Famous Petch Buncha Boxing Stadium is regarded to be the Best Boxing Stadium in the South of Thailand. Watch high class bouts between local and international Muay Thai Boxers which is guaranteed to be would class entertainment.
